Camp Overview

CAMP INFORMATION:

The Levo staff is excited to announce our 5th summer of offering camps on beautiful Whidbey Island!  Our staff consists of former collegiate and pro soccer players who are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and highly rewarding camp environment for players of all skill levels.

We offer two registration options for a half day (9am-Noon) or a full day option for campers aged 8-17 (9am-3pm).  

The camps will focus on skills development, small sided games, and character development.  We'll end each day with our highly anticipated series of World Cup soccer games.

Monday August 17-Thursday August 20, 2026

Times: 

Coed Ages 4-5:  8am-8:50am

Future Stars Ages 6-7:  Half Day: 9-Noon

Mini Messis Ages 8-10: Half Day: 9-Noon or Full Day 9am-3pm 

Junior Ronaldos Ages 11-13:  Half Day: 9-Noon or Full Day 9am-3pm 

High School Prep Camp Ages 14-17:  Half Day: 9-Noon or Full Day 9am-3pm 


What to bring:

All campers are responsible to pack a lunch, water bottle and sun protection.

CAMP DIRECTORS:

Thiago Menezes

Born in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, Coach Thiago Ferreira Menezes is a former professional soccer player and coach who holds a UEFA A coaching license. He began his career as a player at Parana Club in the Brazilian first league and went on to play for 11 seasons in various countries, including Argentina, Luxemburg, Uruguay, and Malta. Thiago was also selected for the Brazilian National Futsal team in 2010 and 2011, playing for two seasons.

For the past six years, Coach Thiago has lived in Canada with his family, dedicating much of his time to coaching and guiding players of all skill levels and ages. He has worked with the high-performance player development program at Barcelona Academy and also offers independent coaching to help players achieve their personal goals.

Coach Thiago's expertise ranges from teaching fundamental skills to preparing elite athletes for professional tryouts in Europe. His experience, skill, and charm make him an invaluable member of any coaching staff.

 




Alex Megson

Alex Megson has enjoyed a professional career spanning 18 seasons, scoring 123 goals and recording 58 assists in his 176-game career with the Tacoma Stars, Milwaukee Wave, Chicago Riot, Syracuse Silver Knights, Chicago Soul FC, Missouri Comets, Rochester Lancers, Dallas Sidekicks, and Cedar Rapids Rampage. Alex holds the record for the fastest hat-trick (31 seconds) in MASL (Major Arena Soccer League) league history. 

Alex's futsal experience includes being selected to the US National Futsal Team's FIFA Futsal World Cup team in Argentina.  Alex was also 2nd in scoring on the US National Indoor soccer team in the World Cup in Mexico (Silver Medalist).

Alex is currently the Director of Soccer at Annie Wright School in Tacoma, WA where he is Head Coach for Boys and Girls soccer programs in addition to his role as Director of Camps and Clinics for the Tacoma Stars.

Matteo Polisi

Matteo Polisi is a former Canadian professional soccer player and coach who currently plays for ICSF Columbus FC of the VMSL Premier Division. With a background that spans youth academies, NCAA soccer, professional leagues, and international experiences, Polisi brings a dynamic blend of high-level playing insight and player development expertise to both his teams and coaching peers.

Polisi began his soccer journey with Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC at age four, progressing through the Vancouver Whitecaps FC Academy and later the Portland Timbers youth system. He also gained international exposure through training stints with Standard Liège in Belgium and trials with Birmingham City, Derby County, and FC Nürnberg.

At the collegiate level, he starred at Simon Fraser University, scoring 36 goals and registering 18 assists in 52 appearances. His standout performances earned him honors such as GNAC Freshman of the Year, three-time GNAC First Team All-Star, Div. II West Region Player of the Year, and Second Team All-American.

Polisi began his professional career with Pacific FC in the Canadian Premier League, winning the 2021 CPL Championship. He returned to TSS FC Rovers where he was a key player in League1 BC and the Canadian Championship, notably scoring twice in a 2023 upset over Valour FC. He also spent time with Anagennisi Epanomi in Greece’s Gamma Ethniki, gaining valuable European experience.

Simone Masi

Simone brings energy and discipline to every session—pushing players to meet high standards while staying focused and fully engaged in their development.
Highlights:

  • MLS NEXT Pro — 26 appearances with Whitecaps FC 2 (2022–2023)
  • Serie D (Italy) — Played for AC Pistoiese in 2024CPL Pathway —  League1 BC player with Burnaby FC
  • GNAC First Team All-Conference — Simon Fraser University (2021)
  • GNAC Freshman of the Year — Only freshman named to First Team
  • SFU to Pro — First Canadian-born SFU defender to sign pro contract

Did you know?

Levo sends 5% of proceeds from camp and uniforms sales to our partner club in Kenya, Victoria Sports Academy (VSA).  These funds are used to supply new and used soccer equipment, uniforms, school tuition fees, transportation and personal hygiene products.
